all depends on how often you see eachother i think and how much effort both sides are willing to put in. I’ve been in two long distance relationships and while I enjoyed the time and space, I would never do it again. I think you have to have a long term goal set to be with eachother all the time. 

I think every relationship is relative though to the situation and the people. What might work for one person, won’t work for others. In the end it all boils down to what makes two people happy, and if the distance is ok for them, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
